Seniors
At a time when everything seems to be rush, rush, rush – it is refreshing to know there is a provider who will take the time to listen to your concerns and give you the time and attention you deserve.
Our dental philosophy includes emphasis on prevention and maintenance. This is especially important for those approaching their senior years. “The state of a person’s oral health - is directly related to their overall health. Since periodontitis (gum disease) is a silent disease, it is important for it to be diagnosed in the early stages. Not only to prevent premature tooth loss, but for overall health benefits.” – Cynthia Elberty, DDS
A high standard for dental care is especially important when the treatment includes prosthetics such as bridges, crowns, partials and dentures. The success of prosthetics directly relates to the care taken in the preparation phase as well as the quality of materials used. Our goal is to provide our patients with a natural -looking, full-functioning -comfortable result! “I will work with you until you are completely happy with the results”. – Cynthia Elberty, DDS
As a special consideration, senior citizens will enjoy a 10% discount for dental services.
Prosthetic Services:
Fixed Dental Bridge: This is a dental appliance used to fill the space left from a missing tooth ( or teeth), that has been removed or is congenitally missing. A typical dental bridge consists of a pontic (a filler tooth) that is attached to two surrounding teeth that are crowned. Once completed , the dental bridge is cemented into place making it non-removable.
If the tooth (or teeth) are not replaced, the space caused by those missing could allow the remaining teeth to shift out of place, possibly causing problems with your bite and eventual periodontal issues.
Partials: A partial is a removable device that takes the place of missing teeth in appearance and function.
Dentures- Full dentures are made when the majority of a person’s teeth on either the upper or lower arch must be replaced.
Conventional dentures: are made once the necessary teeth have been extracted and the tissues or gums have completely healed (often waiting a full year).
Immediate Dentures: are placed in the mouth immediately after the teeth have been extracted. For the best fit, it will be necessary to remake or reline the immediate denture after complete healing takes place .
Implant Retained Dentures: are dentures that are held securely in place by attaching to implants. This is especially beneficial for the lower arch. This involves working with a specialist to place the implants.
